Europe’s leading listed commercial property company Unibail-Rodamco has unveiled its latest major project – Wroclavia, a €240 million (£174.6 million) modern retail and leisure destination in the Polish city of Wroclaw.
The visionary 764,000 sq ft centre, which will take two years to complete, will house the largest cinema in the city (including its first IMAX screen) and boast a tenant line up of over 200 domestic and international brands.
Unibail-Rodamco has already completed 16 pre-lets with major retailers totalling over 215,280 sq ft, including a deal with LPP Group which will see it introduce its six concepts to the centre, led by a flagship Reserved store. LPP’s other brands taking space at Wroclavia are House, Sinsay, Cropp, Mohito and Tallinder.
In addition Inditex Group has signed up to open a major two-floor Zara store along with Zara Home, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Oysho and a 6,458 sq ft Stradivarius outlet.
Commenting on the encouraging level of pre-let activity, Arnaud Burlin, Managing Director of Unibail-Rodamco in Central Europe, said: “At this early stage of the project, we are already seeing significant interest from major international brands, choosing the centre as the key location for their first or largest stores in the city.
“This illustrates the huge potential of Wroclavia as we continue to innovate and enhance the retail property market level in Poland.”
In line with Unibail-Rodamco’s ‘4 Star Label’ commitment to providing a complete and high quality shopping experience, 137,560 sq ft of the centre will be dedicated to leisure concepts including the company’s signature The Dining Experience.
And in addition to the retail and leisure element of the centre, Wroclavia will also add 75,350 sq ft of premium office space to the market in one of the fastest developing cities in Poland, which is already home to global corporations including Google, Microsoft, HP, Credit Suisse and Amazon.
Wroclavia has been designed by Krakow based architects IMB Asymetria in a contemporary style which will create a modern environment for visitors to the centre and enhance the city’s historic fabric.
The destination’s central location – in the immediate vicinity of the main train station – together with the largest city-centre car park in Wroclaw, is expected to generate high levels of footfall and sales when Wroclavia opens in autumn 2017.
