Since opening in May the letting momentum has been extraordinary, propelling the ‘Walkie Talkie’ into the position of the most successful speculative office tower ever built in London.

Joint developers, Land Securities and the Canary Wharf Group, have also confirmed that the Sky Garden – a landscaped space on levels 35, 36 and 37 – will open by the end of the year. The attraction features viewing terraces, two restaurants, a café bar and four event spaces.

Kaela Fenn Smith, Head of Commercial at Land Securities, said; “20 Fenchurch Street was designed for the modern needs of occupiers today, and we believe that’s why we’re continuing to attract a diverse and world class mix of businesses.

“We welcome Vinson and Elkins to the building and we’re thrilled to have a global law firm of this calibre coming to 20 Fenchurch Street.”

Speaking on behalf of the Canary Wharf Group, Head of Leasing Richard Archer added: “We’re delighted that 20 Fenchurch Street continues to be so popular with tenants, and to have such momentum as we come to lease the final few floors is fantastic.

“We look forward to Vinson and Elkins moving into this exceptional building.”

Vinson and Elkins has agreed a 20 year lease on the 24,000 sq ft space, and London Office Managing Partner Alex Msimang believes that the state of the art facilities at 20 Fenchurch Street will make it the ideal London base for the firm for years to come.
