The surplus land, adjacent to Arla’s recently developed milk processing facility, has outline planning permission for up to 700,000 sq ft of light industrial, manufacturing and warehouse space.

It will be marketed as Symmetry Park and developed on a build to suit basis, with agents Savills and Braisier Freeth seeking to secure pre-sales and pre-lets of the new buildings of between 100,000 sq ft and 700,000 sq ft.

db symmetry, which was recently formed following the purchase of a 60 per cent holding in Barwood Development by clients advised by Delancey, was appointed following a lengthy selection process. The company secured the partnership role as a result of its record of delivering over 9.6 million sq ft of industrial and warehouse schemes across the UK.

Commenting on the appointment, db symmetry Director Christian Matthews, said: “The significant financial investment that Arla has already made in this location, servicing the land, enables us to offer very predictable and deliverable building solutions.

“We look forward to working with occupiers to provide them with new high quality buildings at values that will show considerable savings over nearby locations such as Hemel Hempstead and Watford.”
