A recent study found that coffee shops and cafés are two of the fastest growing occupiers of high street property. Independent coffee shop Six Eight Kafé is looking to capitalise on this consumer demand by opening a new outlet at Birmingham’s Millennium Point – something which owners hope will lead to further expansion in the West Midlands.
The Millennium Point shop will be only the second premises owned and operated by Six Eight Kafé, having opened its original branch in the city’s Temple Row in 2011. Since then, its coffee has been voted the best in Brimingham and Six Eight Kafé has been named as one of the top 50 coffee shops in the UK.
Founder, Devinder Dhallu, believes Millenium Point is a great location and is proud of Six Eight Kafé’s progress.
He says; “We are delighted to be joining Eastside’s Millennium Point and providing great coffee at the heart of the business scene.
“It is a fantastic new addition to the local coffee scene, placed in one of the city’s most innovative and forward thinking venues.
“We are so proud to be opening the largest artisan coffee shop in the Midlands, exactly four years after what was one of the smallest coffee shops at the time.”
Millennium Point chief executive Philip Singleton says; “We have always prided ourselves on the quality of the businesses that base themselves here.
“The arrival of Six Eight Kafé undoubtedly is a coup, as it is an independent company whose reputation for excellence is well-known across Birmingham and beyond.
“The opening of Six Eight Kafé has allowed us to create a social hub for people to unwind, whilst providing an improved choice of high quality food and refreshments – we hope visitors and those who work in the venue enjoy Six Eight Kafé’s great coffee for many years to come.”
