After unanimous approval from the planning committee, Rockspring Property Investment Managers LLP, announced it has received planning permission to construct 103 Colmore Row, Birmingham’s tallest office tower, with development partner Sterling Property Ventures.
Birmingham City Council has given Rockspring permission to demolish the 22-storey NatWest Tower, which will be replaced with the new £60 million 26-storey landmark building.
Standing at 346 feet tall, with an apex to be 246 metres above sea level, the tower will be the tallest office building being constructed in the UK outside of London.
Award winning skyscraper architects, Doone Silver has designed the tower and will comprise 200,000 sq ft of Grade A office space over 19 floors, the top of the building plans to be a 8,600 sq ft restaurant and street level will have a winter garden, a café and retail unit.

Work is due to commence in summer next year and will create up to 500 construction jobs. Completion is aimed for summer 2018.

Colliers International, Knight Frank and DTZ are the current letting agents on the office space.
