Byron Set to Debut at Union Square, Aberdeen

Byron’s new 3,751 sq ft unit will be situated on the first floor of the centre next to Handmade Burger Co and join an already reputable list of other restaurants, including Giraffe, Cosmo, Pizza Express and Thaikhun.

The restaurant will be serving a full range of simple, high quality ‘proper hamburgers’, accompanied with a completely unique modern design comprising pink neon signage, vintage furniture and sleek leather seating.

Union Square quickly established itself as a central part of Aberdeen’s retail, dining and leisure offer since its inception in 2009, attracting both new and established retailers and restaurants to the city. Other firsts at Union Square include a new concept from the Patisserie Valerie group, Las Iguanas and YO! Sushi.

Head of Restaurants and Leisure at Hammerson, said: “We are delighted that Union Square will be welcoming Scotland’s first Byron. The brand is a fantastic addition to the centre’s diverse line-up of restaurants and is testament to the popularity of the centre’s dining offer within the local community.

“By continuing to attract restaurants that provide our customers with new and exciting dining experiences we are reinforcing Union Square’s position as Aberdeen’s retail, catering and leisure destination.”

Founder of Byron, Tom Byng, added: “Over the years we’ve had more and more customers ask when we’ll be opening here, so it’s a real pleasure to finally be able to give them the answer they’re looking for.

“We can’t wait to welcome the people of Aberdeen to our first Scottish home in Union Square.”
