Cardiff’s Fairwater Industrial Estate is now fully let after four local businesses agreed terms on the remaining five units.

The latest additions to the occupier line-up are; First Stop Car Sales which has taken a 1,600 sq ft unit, Cardiff Windows Direct which has agreed terms on a 4,200 sq ft unit, Label Needs Ltd which is moving into a 4,400 sq ft space and Cardiff Martial Arts Academy which has taken a combined 5,550 sq ft with its expansion into units 6 and 7.

The news that the fully let sign has gone up represents a remarkable turnaround for Fairwater where half the units were empty when the new owner acquired the property less than a year ago.

DTZ is marketing the estate, located three miles outside the city centre, which comprises a former factory which has been subdivided to provide ten industrial units and a first floor office suite.

Rob Ladd, Director of the Industrial agency team at the real estate services provider’s Cardiff office, said: “Our clients saw the opportunity to acquire an underperforming investment in an area of Cardiff that benefits from strong demand and excellent transport links to the city and to the M4.

“The estate was nearly 50 per cent vacant when our clients acquired it nine months ago, so it is particularly satisfying that DTZ has helped a local investor secure five tenants since the start of the year.”
