CBRE has received instructions to offer the Tower Hotel in Derry for sale. This sale will provide buyers with what has been described as an “excellent” opportunity to acquire the 93-bedroom hotel, which is located within the Derry City walls. Offers of more than £3.75m are being invited for the hotel.
The Tower Hotel was built in 2004 and is the only hotel that was built within the city walls. Along with its 93 guest rooms, it also has a bar, restaurant, a conference/banqueting room and basement car parking facilities. The property has plans in place for another 52 bedrooms, which will increase potential revenue.
The hotel is equipped with a number of dining facilities, including the Lyric Bar and Grill, Walls Bar and Restaurant, and the Tyrconnell Suite. The Tower Hotel is a popular location for meetings, weddings, and functions. The self-contained function room has its own bar and dance floor.
The Walls Bar and Restaurant is the main restaurant on the site and overlooks the city’s walls and butcher gate. The Lyric Bar and Grill was refurbished in 2013.
The bedrooms are tastefully decorated throughout the hotel. Each one has a flat screen television, a direct dial telephone, and coffee and tea-making facilities.
The basement of the hotel has 28 car parking spaces which are accessible from Magazine Street. Offices and staff facilities are situated at the basement level.
Since this is one of a small number of hotels to have come onto the market in the North recently, the sale will no doubt be watched with great interest.

It has a rich cultural heritage, and visitors can explore the city walls, galleries, museums, galleries, and theatres. There is also a very active literary and musical scene. Derry was named the UK City of Culture in 2013.
