As an official Host Airport for the Olympic Games, the airport anticipates that around 80 per cent of the total athletes, sponsors and spectators attending the sporting event will travel through the airport. In addition, 15 per cent of all baggage that passes through the airport during this time will be sporting equipment.
Being one of the first places in London that international visitors will see, Heathrow Airport is going all out.
So what can you expect to see in the commercial property? During the next few weeks, expect to see:
Speaking of the Olympic attractions at the airport, John Holland-Kaye, Commercial Director at the airport said: “Heathrow will be the first and last impression of London 2012 for thousands of visitors.
“We have worked hard to create a unique experience for our passengers, bringing the excitement and spirit of the Olympics directly to them, helping to make their journeys better and more memorable.”
