Hilton Worldwide has signed a multi-year management agreement for a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in San Miguel de Tucuman, Argentina. The commercial property will have 103 guest rooms and will be developed by Abasto Tucumano SA. This type of accommodation will appeal to guests who are looking for a first-class place to stay when traveling for business or pleasure – at an affordable price.
The Hilton Garden Hotel is scheduled to be completed in September of 2012 and is the brand’s seventh development project in Latin America, as well as the fifth Hilton Worldwide development in Argentina. The Tucumano property will add to the brand’s portfolio, which includes the Hilton Buenos Aires in Puerto Madero, as well as projects under development in Iguazu, Santa Fe, Ushuaia and Zarate.
Rather than a free-standing lodging, the new hotel will be part of a complex which will be made up of a number of elements, including a convention centre, a theatre, a number of eating establishments, and several cultural attractions. Guests staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Tucuman will be able to spend time in a courtyard which gives them direct access to the historic market Mercado del Abasto.
Guests staying at the hotel will have access to a number of amenities, including an outdoor swimming pool, a tanning salon, and a fitness centre. The facility will also have a 24-hour fitness centre and 7,000 square feet of meeting rooms available. A ballroom with a capacity for 600 guests is also part of the facility, which will no doubt be a popular choice for meetings and conferences.
Hilton Worldwide has plans to expand throughout the region and has development plans for properties in Peru, Panama, Mexico, Columbia, and Brazil.
