Hortons’ Estate is continuing its investment in Birmingham’s business district, with the £1 million upgrade Fifteen Colmore Row.
The building is adjacent to The Grand (pictured) where the wraps are coming off following Hortons’ £4.1 million restoration of the stone and marble façade.
The renovation of Fifteen Colmore Row will include an exterior face lift in keeping with the work undertaken on The Grand. In addition, the common areas are being upgraded and a 7,227 sq ft second floor office suite will be refurbished, to include new shower and toilet facilities along with a new heating and cooling system.
The vacant suite is the last remaining at the 41,000 sq ft property where the occupier line-up includes accountancy firm Dains and construction consultants Cundall and Rider Levett Bucknall. Both construction firms are part of the team assisting with the delivery of the scheme.
Richard Norgrove, Property Director at Hortons’ Estate, commented: “Our investment in both Fifteen Colmore Row and The Grand will considerably enhance the street scene along Colmore Row, Birmingham’s premier business address.”
As part of the ongoing restoration of The Grand, Hortons’ will shortly be bringing 16 new office suites to the market ranging from 183 to 2,800 sq ft . These will be available during December through joint agents Johnson Fellows and Lambert Smith Hampton.
