Land Securities has confirmed Kering and Jupiter Asset Management (Jupiter) as the latest high profile tenants in Victoria.

Close up of pencil on Lease agreement

Kering, a global leader in luxury sport and lifestyle brands, has signed a 15 year lease for 12,000 sq ft at 62 Buckingham Gate, increasing the building’s occupancy rate to 69 per cent.

Fund manager Jupiter has agreed terms on 56,000 sq ft of office space at the Zig Zag Building, which is currently under construction. This deal takes the total pre-let space to 28 per cent, at least ten months ahead of completion.

The Zig Zag Building – which has earned its name because of the way it steps back along the course of Victoria Street – is designed by Lynch Architects and will feature unique spaces on all its floors along with a communal roof terrace.

Tenants will be offered a concierge service, have access to their own private terraces and be provided with bike storage and shower facilities.

The ground floor will be occupied by retailers, with urban fashion specialist Mango and tapas restaurant Iberica already committed to take 17,000 sq ft between them.

In addition Jamie Oliver has secured 8,000 sq ft at the neighbouring Kings Gate scheme, in line with Land Securities’ plans to make dining a key element of the Victoria development.

Kaela Fenn-Smith, Head of Commercial at Land Securities, welcomes the latest additions to the tenant roster which, she believes, enhances Victoria’s growing reputation as a vibrant destination in the London office market.

“Kering and Jupiter will join the likes of 3i and Wellington Management International, as well as prestigious luxury fashion brands in Victoria, cementing the area’s reputation as the destination of choice for both the fast-growing, dynamic fashion industry in London and the exacting demand of the financial services sector,” she said.

“Our office buildings in Victoria provide a truly flexible offer that appeal to business leaders across all industries.”

Land Securities’ Victoria development encompasses 2.2 million sq ft and from 2nd October – 5th October the company will be hosting a celebration of the transformation of the area.

Inside Out Victoria features a series of music, art, fashion and food events at venues throughout the district. Shops and restaurants will also be getting into the spirit of the celebration with special in-store offers and promotions.
