Specialist commercial agent KWB has completed what it claims is “the largest transaction for offices in Worcestershire for over a decade”.
Acting for M&G Real Estate, one of the world’s largest property investors, the Birmingham-based consultancy has let all 31,821 sq ft at 3 Kings Court in Worcester to a single government body.
Adjacent to Worcestershire Royal Hospital — and two miles from Worcester city centre and Junctions 6 and 7 of the M5 motorway — Kings Court Business Park is one of the West Midland’s few sites offering landscaped high quality, headquarters offices. Existing occupiers on the estate include multinational engineers WS Atkins and the Hereford & Worcestershire Fire Services Authority.
“As the largest letting for Worcestershire in over a decade, this transaction is fantastic news for the city,” commented KWB partner, Mark Robinson.
He added the deal comes “hot on the heels” of department store partnership, John Lewis’s announcement that it is investing £7m in a store at a new retail park being built next to the business park on Worcester’s Newton Road. “When complete the shopping complex will provide even more amenities for staff based at Kings Court,” Robinson said.
In a separate signing late last year KWB, acting for the Topland Group, secured the letting of 2,677 sq ft of office space in Shirley, Solihull, to EUM Consultants, one of the UK’s biggest home energy survey companies. It is relocating from its Fort Dunlop base to take a five year lease at the 70,000 sq ft Friars Gate office complex in Solihull.
