Land Securities has completed the redesign of the public realm at its Thomas More Square (TMSQ) estate on the edge of The City, creating 10,000 sq ft of new restaurant and retail space which is due to open by the end of the year.
The conclusion of the transformation follows the refurbishment of the office space at 3 TMSQ which was completed in June. The revamp has created a new double height entrance together with an extensive business lounge and café. Cycle, locker and shower facilities have also been provided.
This week a new digital art installation in the reception at 3 TMSQ was switched on to officially mark the completion of the refurbishment. The artwork, called Signal, takes its inspiration from the nearby Thames and uses animated graphics based on nautical semaphore to reflect the ebb and flow of time and movement in the building.
Land Securities has already received strong interest in the refurbished office space, with a number of pre-let commitments already secured, leaving 59,000 sq ft of Grade A office space available to let. In addition to this, a further 71,000 sq ft will become available between now and next September at buildings 2, 4, 5 and 6.
“TMSQ has undergone an impressive transformation over the past 12 months and with the new public realm, high quality office space and inspired finishing touches like the digital art installation, it’s never been a better place to work,” said Oliver Knight, Leasing Director at Land Securities.
“There’s more to come too, so we look forward to sharing details of some carefully selected food and drink options to enjoy soon.”
