Leading European logistics firm, Arcese UK, has relocated its Midlands distribution hub to a 90,000 sq ft logistics building in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
The firm, which has its UK headquarters in Tilbury, Essex, has moved its distribution hub to the Heartlands Business Park in Daventry, after DTZ’s industrial agency team agreed the deal on behalf of the previous tenant Sims Group UK.
DTZ’s Building Consultancy team project managed the complete refurbishment of the property when Sims vacated the premises earlier this year.
Italian headquartered Arcese, which has warehouses throughout Europe employing over 2,600 people, has made the relocation from its previous premises in Crick on account of the strategic motorway connectivity the site provides.
Commenting on the deal Gemma Constantinou, of DTZ’s Industrial agency team, said: “We are delighted to have agreed this letting within such a short time frame of the refurbishment completing.
“As part of our marketing strategy, DTZ expanded the planning use class to encompass storage and distribution use which, together with the high quality refurbishment, appealed to Acrese which was seeking premises in Daventry.”
Keith Luetchford of Arcese added: “The building was ideally suited for us being within 1 km of three of our major clients to service them for distribution and storage.
“The site also gives us the ability to park over 80 trailers within the secure yard area, which is a real benefit. We are sure that this facility will help us further the development of our business and aid local employment in the area.”
