Furniture manufacturer, Godfrey Syrett, is forever expanding and has recently opened a new £2m distribution hub on Durham’s Belmont Industrial Estate.
The new facility, which was acquired last year on behalf of Godfrey Syrett, is newly refurbished and is set to create 20 new jobs.
Godfrey Syrett acquired the unit as part of its continued expansion, with an investment of £500,000 in a major refurbishment.
Nick Atkinson of HTA, said the premises was “prefect” for Godfrey, adding: “The big shed market in the North East is particularly competitive due to the severe shortage of units over 100,000 sq ft.”
Managing director at Godfrey Syrett, commented: “The premises and site have been extensively modified to create a first class furniture distribution centre that will allow us to tailor our deliveries and installations seamlessly to meet our customer’s requirements.”
“The re-developed facility, which is very close to the A1M, is double the size of our former distribution site in Spennymoor, enabling us to improve services levels and increase operational efficiencies.”
