Litton property group, a Derbyshire based developer, has proposed plans to create a brand new business park, situated near East Midlands airport. The 3.9 acre site near the M1 is located in North West Leicestershire, and has planning permission for a new entrance from the Finger Farm roundabout which is ideally situated in front of the airport.
The potential new site could also provide between 200 and 300 jobs in the area. Castle Donington business site may supply a mixture of useful facilities that could range from offices, hotels, car showrooms and manufacturing. There will also be buildings available on freehold and leasehold.
The planning application for the facility will be submitted this year and is a part of a joint venture with Moto Hospitality, one of the biggest motorway service operators in the UK. It looks to be an exciting prospect for the area and new businesses looking to get started up.
Development Director at Litton, Richard Squire, is looking forward to this business park being built, saying that this is a rare opportunity for businesses to get property close to one of the ever expanding airports.
The creation of this facility, with the airport in close proximity, will be a beneficial for both businessmen and women, who need to travel, and holiday goers. It will also give a great boost in profit for the stores within the airport.
Recently, Leicestershire has had an abundance of plans that have been put forward for the next 12 months to expand existing business parks or to create new ones, which would see further jobs being created within this region.
