According to an expert at Shower drape, “A rising number of homeowners in Britain are choosing to personalise their bathrooms using interior design featuring bright colour”.
Sales director at the Shower drape, Jack Shalom, said that home improvement lovers have dared a little more with their cloakrooms and second bathrooms in particular, introducing novelties and bolder shades to introduce some individuality and fun into the space.
At the Totally DIY show in Birmingham, he further told AboutProperty that “There has been a most important movement away from natural colours and whites to brighter colours –the trend that is occurring in bathrooms at present”.
Shalom added: “The new products also always have their place; they have a small lifespan, but they work great for us.”
His comments followed by a research by Halifax which founded that 13 % of people have chosen to get family and friends involved with their bathroom makeover, rather than relying on professional tradesmen.
But this could symbolize a fake economy, as the mortgage lender survey also exposed that, more than 1 in 6 DIY jobs on average, goes wrong, with a characteristic price of £426 to put substandard kitchens and bathrooms right again.
