Agents and developers are leading the region’s economic recovery with increased marketing activity, according to the public relations agency in the sector. Commercial property businesses throughout the region are raising their profile and accelerating their activities as they report sales at the highest level since the global economic turndown in 2009.
Empica public relations, the Long Ashton agency, have seen a big jump in clients. It has been appointed by commercial agents Bruton Knowles, which has opened a new office in Bristol.
The firm’s marketing director, Martin Powell, stated recently that the summer is usually quiet for new business but that this year a number of new projects are gearing up for autumn. He mentioned that some of the activity was prompted by the Homes and Communities Agency set up by the Government to kick-start property activity.
He added that since 2009 his firm has seen a real increase in clients in the care and charity sector. Charities have had to step up promotional work to keep funds rolling in when funds get tight for everyone. The care sector has been growing, which reflects the aging population.
The health and leisure sector has remained robust, with several new restaurants opening in the area. There has also been what he has described as “significant investment” in new hotels and health clubs.
According to Mr. Powell, the region’s economy was always underpinned by a strong property market. The number of new clients is a strong indication that the region is in recovery.
