Property Post

I was reading the online news this week and a headline literally jumped out at me  “Citi raises $530 mln for UK commercial property fund” Could this be possible?? Who would get a piece of this yummy pie? Me, Property Investor…..sadly not….read on… Next mini headline “Fund offered to rich investors in EMEA, Asia”

I have no problem with this sort of money being raised and for whom.  The fact it will be invested into British Commercial Properties London, great.

We have seen in the last two years a surge in international investors, investing in London’s Commercial Properties on the back of the fact our pound was weak and limited supply of Central London Offices increased in its value.

This is Citigroup raising money via its private banks, and investing in tycoons and rich families in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Pause for thought…..

What happened to our home grown Banks? Lending to Local Commercial Property Companies at favourable rates terms and conditions??  Banks, start to lend again, throw open your doors and offer favourable loans, and invest back into your economy!!

Scarlet……London
