Many of us have watched Zombie films, such as I am Legend or played video games like Dead Rising, but have you ever wanted to be in a Zombie game yourself? Well now you can in a town near you.
2.8 hours, is owned by SlingShot who run a number of different games across cities in the UK. 2.8 hours was first launched in 2010 and involves running around, avoiding being infected by zombies. Participants must try and get to a number of safe locations throughout the time, meeting survivors on the way to help them find the survivors camp at the end.
But if you are infected by a zombie it is not game over, instead you will be sent for treatment where you will be made up as a zombie. You are then free to rejoin the game, trying to infect other players.
Once the game has finished, which lasts approximately 2.8 hours (it’s all in the name), then participants are invited to attend a zombie disco at a local commercial property. Slingshot are currently running the game from July to October in six cities; Leeds, Nottingham, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham and London. But London is already sold out. Tickets range from £24 – £28 and include entry to the zombie disco.
Speaking of the game, Simon Johnson, SlingShot Director, said: Games like this just wouldn’t exist without the audience. The more excited the audience, the more exciting the game will be.”
Does this sound like a game you would enjoy? We at MOVEHUT think it would make a great team building exercise.
