The bank currently occupies the third floor at One Cornwall Street, which is used as its Birmingham Corporate Banking Centre, and has now signed an eight-year lease on the fourth floor.

Located in the Colmore business district, the property has recently been refurbished and now offers high specification Grade A office facilities which have attracted occupiers including Delmas, Pitch Consultants and Chase De Vere over the past 15 months.

Jonathan Ottewell, associate director of office agency at Savills who represented AXA, said: “One Cornwall Street combines high quality business space with a superb location at the heart of Birmingham’s business district and we are pleased that Santander chose to expand its operations within the building”.

At the moment Savills and DTZ are marketing the first and fifth floor of the same building. The first floor provides 2,189 sq ft while the fifth floor offers 4,642 sq ft of office space.
