One week after entering into administration, BHS’ administrators have appointed Savills to help with its portfolio.
The administrators, Duff & Phelps, are currently attempting to find a buyer for the struggling high street retailer, with concerns for its future still hanging in the balance.
However, analysts are predicting that BHS’ portfolio will be broken down into parcels of stores before the brand officially vanishes from the high street.
Duff & Phelps is believed to have had 50 interested parties to buy the 164 stores, one of which being B&M, with boss, Simon Arora saying there were a number of stores it could trade from profitability.
Another retailer interesting in a few stores is Edinburgh Woollen Mill.
Director of retail at Savills, Sam Foyle, commented: “We are very pleased to be working with the administrators and advising on the property portfolio to assist in selling the business as a going concern.”
