Seko Synergy Commits to Northampton Base

Retail Logistics giant, Seko Synergy, has recently agreed a ten year lease renewal on its 126,000 sq ft Northampton based facility at the Distribution Centre on Crow Lane.

Seko is an owner run business which has 30 years experience in fulfillment, fashion logistics and 3PL services and currently has 150 staff on site, with an impressive client base which includes Tesco, Morrisons, Arcadia, Sainsbury’s, House of Fraser, Moda Operani and Models Own.

Gary Rees, Managing Director of Seko Synergy Retail Support Limited, commented: “Northamptonshire has always been at the heart of our business and the renewal of the lease underlines our commitment both to the region and to our staff.

“We have invested heavily in technology over recent years to include state-of-the-art picking with voice, RDT or light used by some of the world’s largest retailers; full integration with 50 couriers and real time tracking.”

He continued to say that a further amount has been invested by the company for a 20,000 sq ft mezzanine floor, which pallet racking has been converted to narrow isle.

Director of Prop-Search, who acted on behalf of Seko Synergy, Gary Rees, added: “The combination of excellent transport links, strong employment base and fit out of the unit made renewing the lease a viable option for Seko Synergy.

“Using our knowledge of the local market we were able to negotiate favourable terms for our client which will facilitate their continued and predicted growth in the region.”
