The Luxury Collection is investing in additions to the portfolio and major renovations in a number of US locations, including Lake Tahoe, San Antonio, San Francisco and Key West. By the end of the year, The Luxury Collection is likely to surpass 100 hotels in more than 30 countries.

“Domestic demand for luxury travel is at pre-recession levels, which makes this an excellent time to invest in The Luxury Collection hotels in the US,” said Global Brand Leader, Hoyt H. Harper II.

“Additionally, we continue to see increasing demand from owners of independent luxury hotels who find tremendous value in partnering with Starwood to take advantage of our powerful distribution, loyalty and sales platforms.”

He continued to add that Starwood expects a period of significant growth for The Luxury Collection, in both the domestic and overseas markets, as they drive brand awareness internationally.
