Tired of Your Office View? Combine Your Office with Nature

Posted on 24 October, 2011 by MOVEHUT

Monday morning arrives and you, like the rest of the country, join the rush hour traffic, and fight for the limited yet overpriced city centre parking space before finally making it into the office just in time.

But what if you could escape the hustle and bustle, and work in an environment that is in touch with nature? Well you can, as Movehut has found the perfect setting.

Ransom Wood, located in Sherwood Forest can offer an alternative to the normal office environment. Ransom Wood is set in 70 acres of woodland and offers 20 sq ft of office space to rent combined with 2,500 sq ft of units throughout four unique buildings. The site also features a restaurant, named ‘Forever Green’, conference and meeting facilities, as well as hosting fun events like murder mysteries and parties. Speaking of the facilities on offer, James Cannon, Managing Director, stated: “I am confident that Forever Green will emerge as one of the best places in the region for corporate events, private functions and weddings, as well as the restaurant becoming an all-day destination in its own right.”

Ransom Wood wants to keep their roots alive; they have set a policy that the site will always remain 70 per cent greenery and 30 per cent may be used for its future developments. This policy was recognised by the Chad Enterprise Awards, who honoured Ransom Wood with ‘The Environment Award’ in 2009.

One of Ransom Wood clients, Elaine Wilson, Clinical Implementation Manager, expressed her view about the facilities and environment and why they moved to the forest: “Ransom Wood not only offered a fantastic location, but a beautiful environment in which to work and we made an instant decision to move in. As well as being very safe for a mainly female team there are excellent on-site restaurant and conference facilities. On the customer relations front the team at Ransom Wood have been extremely welcoming, very helpful and supportive; nothing has been too much trouble and I can’t speak highly enough of their service.”
