Canary Wharf Group and Land Securities’ 20 Fenchurch Street is now 87 per cent let, the developers have announced. The news comes following yesterday’s confirmation of two new tenants for the 37 storey City tower, popularly known as the Walkie-Talkie.
The latest tenants are Law firm DWF, which has taken out a lease on 43,000 sq ft, and US insurance firm CNA which has signed up for 35,000 sq ft of the 680,000 sq ft property.
They will join other occupiers, including Tokio Marine Kiln and Liberty Syndicates, when tenants begin moving into the building later this month.
The Walkie-Talkie has been tremendously successful in pre-letting space in the building, even by the standards of the City where the market has led the recovery. It is now on course to become one of London’s most sought after business addresses.
