Europe’s leading listed commercial property company, Unibail-Rodamco, has today announced a major leasing deal with Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) Group to take space for its H&M, COS and & Other Stories brands at Scandinavia’s largest shopping centre development, Mall of Scandinavia.
The three Swedish brands have agreed terms on a total of 59,200 sq ft which includes a flagship two-storey H&M store totalling 43,056 sq ft. The store will feature the latest H&M fashion collections together with H&M Home and the brand’s new H&M Beauty range.
COS and & Other Stories will take 6,340 sq ft and 11,291 sq ft respectively. International fashion brand COS, which was launched in 2007, currently has a portfolio of 117 stores in 26 countries, but this will be its first in a Scandinavian shopping centre. Women’s fashion brand & Other Stories opened its first store just two years ago but already has outlets in 18 cities.
Discussing the new signings Lars-Ake Tollemark, Managing Director Nordics at Unibail-Rodamco, said: “Adding the H&M Group brands will firmly strengthen the position of Mall of Scandinavia as the ‘Home of the Flagships’ – the main H&M store in particular will be phenomenal.
“We are also particularly proud that COS has chosen Mall of Scandinavia to open its first store in a shopping centre in the Nordics. All these brands have an incredible following with customers and were simply a ‘must have’ for our target market.”
The 1 million sq ft Mall of Scandinavia, just seven minutes from downtown Stockholm, will house 250 stores and restaurants when it opens its doors this autumn. Among the occupiers already confirmed are Michael Kors, Massimo Dutti, Superdry, Hugo Boss, Pull&Bear, Zara Home and Ahléns department store.
Unibail-Rodamco is an integrated investor, developer and operator with a presence in 12 EU countries. Its €34.6 billion portfolio includes shopping centres and large office buildings together with convention and exhibition centres.
