Award winning regeneration company, Urban Splash, has procured a wealth of deals of over 13,000 sq ft worth of commercial space in the city of Liverpool, which includes the biggest letting for South Liverpool this year.
The major deal in question saw Assist, a recruitment firm, take 8,300 sq ft of space at the Matchworks development in Speke. Its director, Dave Dargan, commented: “I am delighted that we have completed our relocation and are joining the Matchworks community.”
Another deal at the Matchworks saw make-up distributor Kurious acquire a 2,735 sq ft unit. Both of these deals contributed to more than half of the South Liverpool deals this year, totalling 11,000 sq ft.
Commercial manager for Urban Splash, Nicky Harries, said: “These deals are hugely significant in the local market accounting for 50% of the entire office take up for the area this year.”
He continues: “It’s a testament to the Matchworks’ long-standing reputation as a fantastic base for businesses looking for a cost-effective alternative to the city centre.”
Elsewhere, within Liverpool’s city centre, Urban Splash has successfully completed three deals in the Ropewalks, acquiring 1,900 sq ft of space in total. This comprised existing tenant, Charity City Hearts (UK) Limited, to quadruple its premises to 1,289 sq ft at the Vanilla Factory, Slater Studios DH Business Support procuring 380 sq ft, while Lunar Commercial acquired 204 sq ft of space.
The reason for such attraction to Liverpool schemes, according to Mr Harries, is thanks “to our fantastic range of space and our flexible approach as a landlord whereby we offer long and short-form leases and monthly licenses which help our tenants as they grow.”
