DTZ joins existing agents GM Real Estate in marketing the 300,000 sq ft Angel Court, which is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2016, in a prime location next to the Bank of England.

Angel Court will provide over 24 storeys of high quality office accommodation and ground floor retail space, at the heart of the financial district. Steelwork has now commenced onsite, while construction of the tower’s northern core is progressing rapidly.

The development aims to maximise space through a flexible and progressive layout design, which will enable it to provide significantly larger floorplates than those of the building which previously stood on the site, and occupier interest is expected to be high.

The Garden floors will offer an average floorspace of 25,000 sq ft, while the Sky floors, which will boast uninterrupted 360 degree views of the London skyline, will provide floorplates averaging 9,000 sq ft.

Tim Plumbe, Senior director at DTZ, commented; “As one of the very few prime City office developments being delivered in 2016, Angel Court offers occupiers exceptional quality in a fantastic location. It is one of the market’s most significant leasing mandates this year and we are delighted to have won it.”

Hideto Yamada, Managing Director of Mitsui Fudosan (UK) said the appointment of DTZ demonstrates the company’s desire to showcase Angel Court and highlight its quality and flexibility ahead of next year’s opening.

“As we continue to work with Stanhope to deliver this prime City development,” he continued. “We are confident that DTZ and GM Real Estate are excellently placed to pool their expertise and knowledge in order to generate significant occupier interest.”

David Camp, Chief Executive of Stanhope, commented: “With work at Angel Court now progressing at pace, we remain committed to delivering an exceptional scheme which will meet occupier’s demands and revitalise the surrounding area.”

He added that Stanhope’s experience in delivering City office schemes, together with their proven partnership with Mitsui Fudosan, leaves him confident that Angel Court will set a new benchmark for quality and efficiency.

The Angel Court scheme will also deliver improvements to the public realm, by introducing retail outlets, restaurants, eateries and al fresco dining to the piazza for the first time.
