Head of Development for British Land, Nigel Webb, said that he sees the application as a significant milestone in their plans for the location, which will provide a bridge between Shoreditch and the City of London, and create an environment where occupiers can expand and develop

Overseeing the design – which involves the conversion of existing warehouse space – will be internationally recognised architects AHMM.

DSDHA, Duggan Morris, and Stanton Williams will also be involved in the scheme which will be heritage led to integrate the buildings into their historic surroundings in Elder Street Conservation Area.

“We have developed these plans following extensive constructive engagement with London Borough of Tower Hamlets, English Heritage, CABE and the local Conservation and Design Advisory Panel, who we would like to thank for their support to date,” Mr Webb added.
