Canary Wharf Group has offered shoppers a glimpse of what to expect from the Jubilee Place Mall expansion by announcing the first nine tenants.

Among the names unveiled are high end fashion brand COS, which will bring its combination of classic and modern designs to Canary Wharf, and renowned cosmetics brand bareMinerals which has a presence in 30 countries.

Other confirmed retail tenants are Banana Republic, Orlebar Brown, The White Company, Rituals, Oliver Bonas and the acclaimed Emmettt Shirts. And offering shoppers the perfect place to meet or take a break is Le Pain Quotidien.

When completed, the 44,000 sq ft extension will add a total of 25 new stores to Canary Wharf’s existing retail and leisure offer. This already amounts to over 240 shops, bars and restaurants which have created hundreds of new jobs.

In addition, a further 115,000 sq ft of retail space will be added above the new Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, in what is currently one of the largest retail developments underway in the UK.

Chief Administrative Officer for Canary Wharf Group, Camille Waxer, welcomes the Jubilee Place Mall expansion and believes it will meet the needs of the area where employment is expected to double by 2025.

“With the office population at Canary Wharf growing and the needs of our shoppers increasing we felt it was the right time to expand our retail offer in Jubilee Place.

“Banana Republic, COS, The White Company and Orlebar Brown are all sought after brands that will enhance what is already a thriving shopping destination.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome these stores to Canary Wharf and look forward to their openings in November,” she said.

Other retailers taking commercial space at Canary Wharf recently include bridal store Les Trois Soeurs and beauty and skin care specialist Kiehl’s.
