Hermes Investment Management has announced the arrival of two new occupiers at Royal Victoria Place Tunbridge Wells.
The latest arrivals at the leading Kent retail destination are Oliver Bonas and The Body Shop. It has also been confirmed that Pandora is almost doubling the size of its existing unit at the centre.
Oliver Bonas has agreed terms on a 996 sq ft store on a 10 year lease, whilst The Body Shop has taken 1,216 sq ft, also on a 10 year lease. Pandora is adding a further 592 sq ft to create a 1 1,152 sq ft outlet.
Gavin Murray, Asset Manager at Hermes Investment Management said: “Once again, Tunbridge Wells and Royal Victoria Place have attracted a leading brand in Oliver Bonas to Kent.
“With The Body Shop relocating from Calvery Road and Pandora’s decision to expand in the centre, enticing existing Tunbridge Wells retailers adds testimony to the centre’s performance.
“The fundamentals remain strong for the catchment and we expect to announce further lettings in the New Year.”
Oliver Bonas’s latest store opening comes as the distinguished retailer of eclectic women’s wear, jewellery, gifts, furniture and homeware, celebrates its 21st birthday. It currently operates 45 outlets primarily in London and has plans to expand internationally next year.
Founder Oliver Tress commented: “Following a review of the Kent market and close analysis of shopper behaviour in the region, we chose Tunbridge Wells due to its core demographic and catchment.
“For our objectives, Royal Victoria Place stood out from Tunbridge Wells High Street and Mount Pleasant area, and we believe our latest store will build on the success of our strong brand.”
The news of the new lettings comes just a month after it was announced that camera retailer Jessops and Australian stationary company Smiggle had agreed terms on space at Royal Victoria Place.
Colliers International advised Hermes, Oliver Bonas acted for themselves and MMX Retail advised The Body Shop. Pandora was represented by Stephen Kane & Co.
