Revamp Your Office on a Budget

Posted on 11 February, 2013 by MOVEHUT

Are you tired of looking at the same four walls in your office? Is your office plain, boring and lacking enthusiasm? Here are three budget busting tips to spruce up your office without risking the debt collectors coming

Have an office paint job

Take a look around your office, more than likely your office is painted in plain colours. Am I right? Well why not break the norm and indulge in a featured wall. It doesn’t have to be in the main office, it could be in a meeting room or even the kitchen.

All you need to do is ask everyone to bring in a tin of paint (you know the ones that people keep in the garage for touch-ups) and have some fun. It may get a little messy, but that is the point. Be creative, it’s your wall for your employees – basically a blank canvass for your company.

It will become a focal talking point in the office and will make people smile every time they look at it, thus boosting moral – another bonus!

Switch the office light bulbs

Old light bulbs that barely work and do that annoying flicker can hinder workers performance. Investing in LED bulbs will make your office feel alive and will be much brighter. Plus they are much more energy efficient and last much longer, saving you money in the long term.

Change the office keyboards

Have a look down at your keyboard. Are they any keys missing; are there traces of yesterday’s tuna sandwich stuck on the spacebar? You don’t even want to know how many germs are lying between each key.

Having dirty and broken keyboards not only looks bad, but is also a health hazard! They don’t cost that much and will not only make the office look better, but also your employees feel better.

Go on, give them a try and see what difference these small changes can make to your office. If you have any more budget busting ideas to revamp an office, please share them with us below.
