Planning permission for a new warehouse and trade counter scheme at Albion Gateway in Burton has been granted by East Staffordshire Borough Council.

The 34,000 sq ft development comprises a total of 11 units including warehouse/industrial units, trade counters, restaurants, a pub and a hotel. Work on the 10-acre site is due to commence next month.

Taking the helm is regeneration specialist St Mowden, who have said that they are already getting plenty of interest and enquiries about the scheme.

Senior Development Surveyor at St Mowden, Ian Romano, said about the development: “We have received very positive feedback for our plans for Albion Gateway, with high demand from national and local trade counter and warehouse occupiers”.

This isn’t the only venture that St Mowden are taking on, as they will be investing in local road infrastructure which will see two dedicated junctions linked to the scheme.  And last month the firm got the green light for the Branston Square retail scheme close to the town.

The first set of units at Albion Gateway is due to open and be ready for business in September of this year.
