The Benefits Of Serviced Offices

Routine property management is not something that the majority of companies would like to fret about and that is why serviced offices have grown in popularity. They allow businesses to have somewhere to stay which suits their individual needs without the aggravation of finding, managing and furnishing the space.

One of the major reasons why lots of businesses choose to take space in a serviced office is the flexibility it gives them. Usual standard leases, which can normally last for ten or fifteen years, tie businesses in to their offices. This means that if throughout the life of a lease, a company’s space needs vary – whether they need to expand or contract – they are incapable of adjusting without incurring major costs, administrative issues and delays.

By contrast, in a serviced office tenants are able to get bigger and contract as they wish, more often than not at very short notice. This can be valuable to businesses when times are good and they need more space quickly, or on the other hand when times are bad and a contraction is needed. With serviced offices neither of these scenarios are difficult, allowing companies to remain flexible. Something that is increasingly important in today’s fast moving economy.

The costs involved will vary depending on the location, how many desks are taken and the length of stay, but serviced offices should not be thought of as an expensive option once all the associated costs involved in leasing or buying an office are taken into account. For example, a business in a serviced office will require much less space than in a conventional office as receptions, corridors and break out spaces are not leased in a serviced office but are with a conventional lease.
